Javier Garrido was born in Barcelona, Spain. He studied Psychology at the University of Barcelona (UB) with a focus on Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychopathology. He combined his studies with a master’s degree in HR Management, allowing him to undertake various responsibilities in management positions in the Human Resources area at international companies, until he went on to perform his current functions as a consultant.
In 2020 he published his first novel, Mentiras que dan magia , in the intrigue genre. It was so successful that it is already in its 3rd edition.
In 2023 he published his second novel, Los miedos de Minerva , this time in the psychological thriller genre. This novel deeps into the psychology of the characters, within a psychopathological side interspersed in the framework of a disappearance and its police investigation
In this same year, he will also publish the short stories novel 7 notas (7 Notes), written together with the author Julia Caso. This novel aimed at teenagers focuses on the story of 7 characters from a music academy. It will offer 7 independent but interconnected stories, where different topics are dealt with to promote debate in educational centers about problems specific to the target audience.
From time to time, he has collaborated with different authors in various phases of the revision, correction, and publication of their works: Tras el espejo (Behind the Mirror) by Jess Penas, El murmullo de los caídos (The whisper of the fallen) by Alejandra Díaz, El símbolo Malin (The Malin Symbol) by Jordi Catalán, Aurora by Marian Cobos, and many more.
His next novel is at the end of the writing process. A story that will start a trilogy, a psychological thriller as well, where psychopathology and neuroscience are very present.
Lastly, he is collaborating in the production of the TV show El Círculo de los 13 along with the director and producer Giuseppe Giacri as a co-writer. This project will be carried out in a series of 13 episodes with mystery, thriller, and horror themes, with the trailer already in post-production, Cuchillos Artesanales (Handmade Knives).
